THE UPPER PAW CANINE CARE CENTRE is pleased to offer superior training classes for people and their dogs. We are situated in Uxbridge on twelve beautiful acres of fenced fields. At the start of each class the dogs have time to run and play before going into the classroom for the indoor portion of the lesson.

The classroom is a climate controlled, nicely refurbished drive shed on the property

My name is Margot Shoemaker, owner/operator of The Upper Paw. I have been an avid animal lover since childhood. From 1989-1992 I travelled the world extensively, visiting and living in many places. Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Spain, Holland, and England were some of the destinations on that list.

When I returned home to Toronto I knew that I would follow my lifelong dream of working with animals. I became a certified trainer of people and their dogs at Petsmart, teaching several training classes per week. I had found my calling!

I formed The Upper Paw Canine Care Centre in 1997. Since then I've been operating our hugely popular daycare and boarding services. I spend hours every day with a variety of dogs, so have gained much expertise and insight into dog behaviour over the years. I know what dogs need from us to be the happiest they can be. I will teach you how to communicate with your dogs as "Pack Leader".

We provide a happy, safe environment for people and their dogs to hang out, have fun and learn.

There are courses available for all age groups and breeds.
